What we offer

Full-spectrum care, one connected team.

From respite and counseling to psychiatric evaluation and medication management — for children, teens, and the adults in their lives. Many families start with respite for immediate relief, then grow into ongoing clinical care. Adults are welcome to start with care of their own.

Trained caregivers give your child engaging, supported time — and give you the break every caregiver needs. Delivered in structured blocks, often the fastest way to get help in place.

How it works

Getting started shouldn't be the hard part.

Reaching out when you or your child is struggling takes a lot. Once intake opens, we'll keep the path from first call to first session short and clear — here's how it will work.

Reach out

Call or send a note. A real person listens, answers questions, and helps you figure out whether respite, counseling, evaluation, or medication support is the right starting point — no referral required.

We handle the paperwork

We confirm OhioRISE or insurance eligibility, coordinate authorizations, and gather what's needed. You stay focused on your child; we manage the process.

Support begins

We match you or your child with the right caregiver or clinician and get started — then check in regularly and adjust as needs change.

What we help with

You don't need a diagnosis to start a conversation.

Families and adults come to us with a wide range of concerns. If what you or your child is facing isn't listed, reach out anyway — we'll help you find the right support, here or elsewhere.

When the struggle shows up in schoolwork

Sometimes emotional support and academic support work best together.

When anxiety or attention challenges start dragging on grades and confidence, targeted academic help can rebuild a child's footing alongside the behavioral work we do.

Aspenhill Care Co and Sylvan Learning are affiliated. We mention Sylvan because we see families benefit from both — never as a condition of the care we provide.

Academic support, when it fits

Assessment-based tutoring in reading, math, and study skills through our affiliated Sylvan Learning centers across Ohio.

Common questions

Answers for parents just starting out.

Are you accepting new patients yet?

Not quite yet. We're completing credentialing with OhioRISE and commercial insurance plans — the step that lets your coverage pay for care. Intake opens the moment it's finalized. Check back soon, or watch this page for the announcement.

Does OhioRISE cover respite care?

Yes. Respite is a covered OhioRISE benefit for eligible children and youth. During intake we help confirm eligibility and coordinate authorized respite blocks so you're not navigating it alone.

Can you diagnose conditions and prescribe medication?

Yes. Our clinical team provides comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and, when clinically appropriate, prescribes and manages medication for children, teens, and adults — with regular follow-up and coordination with any existing providers.

Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to start?

No. You can reach out directly. Many families contact us before any formal diagnosis — part of our job is helping you understand what your child needs and where to begin.

Who does Aspenhill serve?

Children and teens — typically ages 4 through 18 — along with their parents and caregivers, and adults seeking behavioral health care of their own. Support is always tailored to age and developmental stage.

How quickly can support start once intake opens?

Respite is often the fastest path to relief once eligibility is confirmed. Counseling and medication timelines depend on matching with the right clinician. We'll give you a realistic timeframe on your first call.

What if we already have a therapist or care team?

That's common and welcome. We coordinate with existing providers, schools, and OhioRISE care coordinators so your child's support is connected rather than fragmented.

We're almost ready to welcome you.
